What we do
Our SteamBoy distillation process produces pure, pressurized steam, which we use in a large rotary steam tube dryer to remove moisture from agricultural products, producing high-value ingredients.
High-temperature steam from a boiler fueled by agricultural waste (nutshells) drives the SteamBoy distillation system, effectively boiling contaminated water. The resulting purified steam finds its first purpose in a large steam tube drier, where it efficiently dries various agricultural products like sweet potatoes, pumpkins, grape pomace, tomato pomace, and potatoes.
Our impact
This process yields a high-quality, clean base ideal for various types of premium pet food, showcasing Tracy Renewable Energy's commitment to resource maximization and product diversification. We work with both local farmers and ingredient distributors to help ensure consistency across the agricultural supply chain. We serve the community as a flexible off-taker for crops with flexibility to accept a range of materials, including sweet potatoe culls, pumpkins, tomato pomace, and grape pomace. The integration of waste biomass, cutting-edge distillation technology, and sustainable practices positions TRE as an industry leader in renewable energy and resource management.
